I think a Wario anime would be cooler.
A slice of life WarioWare anime would be damn funny. Or a Wario Land adventure anime would be solid too.

If there is to be a Wario movie. It has to be made by people who somewhat care about it as Wario doesn't work in a very generic plot like Mario. A Wario Movie could be really cool but there is just way too high of risk of a lot of animation...
I was thinking the same thing. I hate how Wario is used as a fart joke, especially in Smash and Nintendo Today, and how farts are promoted over other aspects of him.
If it weren't for the cheesy jokes, a Wario movie could be great and resonate...
i'd love a wario movie, i think wario land 4's story will adapt well. though realistically a movie dedicated to wario is pretty unlikely so if we ever get something i'd like to have like, a TV show or netflix series.

A Wario movie never really crossed my mind because he never appeared in the first one, but if he DID show up and steal the show, and went so far that they would consider giving him his own spinoff movie, I think that would be proof enough that...

actually, i still visit arcades about every weekend because that's where my #1 favorite games are; rhythm games!
nerd mode on; at about 2000's where home consoles started to outperform arcade systems, arcades started to get filled with rhythm...
pinball, skeeball, hoops, shooter games, air hockey, i'm sure there are more that i just forgot about
oh yeah and i saw smb1 last time i went to an arcade
