Is Waluigi a Wario series character?

Well, what do you think?

He appears alongside Wario in the Mario spinoffs, but as of this time has never actually appeared in either Wario Land or WarioWare.

So what's his status as far as being part of the series goes?

Brawl considered him a Mario character but this new Smash Bros. considers him a Wario character. How odd.

Waluigi is really a nobody. The Mario Series can keep him. It's not like he's going to be a big deal to anyone.

He doesn't appear in any Wario game, so no. Even the supposed "cameo" in Smooth Moves really is just a generic Wario caricature.

Let me put it this way:
I did NOT notice Waluigi's absence from Mario Kart 7 until long after I had beaten the game. That's how much of an impression he leaves on me.
The only thing I consider him to be a part of is the character select screen.

I as a big fan of Waluigi have to say:

He is not part of the Wario series, but rather part of the Mario-spinoffs.

I mean he hasn't been in any other game other than that (SSBB doesn't count here).

Sadly, he is not considered as a Wario character, and is always relegated to spin-offs, mostly because he is generally disliked.

It's Nintendo's own fault.
They never do anything with the character. They have so many Mario spin-offs where Waluigi could play even the smallest role but ....nope. *shrug*

Waluigi isn't and shouldn't be a Wario Land / WarioWare character.
No offence to his fans but in my opinion Wario does a better job as a solo adventurer, and as for WarioWare, I'm not quite sure, but I don't really see him there. I'm not saying I dislike him entirely, but I don't really feel much for him either.
