Why is Wario collecting his own money in Wario Land II?

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
In the first world or so of the game, Wario has to kick the Black Sugar gang out of his castle and undo the damage they've caused by flooding the place and filling it with monsters.

However, given you also collect money during this part of the game... doesn't that mean Wario is basically taking his own cash again?

Cause all those spots in the walls and the ceiling seem like stashes Wario would have put there to keep it safe from thieves, yet now he's suddenly breaking them down and picking up all the money again.

So why is this? Why is Wario collecting his own money in Wario Land II?

You know, I thought about it before, and it actually makes sense! Imagine you're a greedy guy, who has tons of money, you'd keep some money hidden in case of emergency! So when disaster struck, Wario went on a collecting spree of his money reserves to make sure they're safe, or to repay damage to the Castle! The more he advances inside the Castle, the more damage he sees, so he just keeps collecting cash to make up for it!

Huh, that's a good point. Guess the money could be collected to pay the repair bills.
