I think it comes down to the scale of the environment. A more focused forum like this on a somewhat niche topic doesn't generate a lot of community at once, so it's easier to weed out any trolls who do show up willing to pick a pointless fight...

Only thing I can think of is that it's due to violence or something, since I don't recall any blood, gambling or swearing in the game...
I don't think we'll be waiting too long for Wario Land 1 and 2. They were on 3DS Virtual Console, and they'll be on Switch Online in future too.
