As you know if you've played it, every single character in Dr. Mario 64, with the lone exception of Mario, is exclusive to Wario Land 3. Do we have any info as to why this is? Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome--in fact I bought the game...

I looked deeper and looks like Nintendo Software Technology division made this game. I'm guessing they just were Wario fans like us lol, in terms of the rivalry between Nintendo EAD and Nintendo R&D1 they might have just been rooting for R&D1...

late reply but I think Nintendo R&D1, developers of most of the Wario games, made this game too, so they preferred using their characters over mario's. Good thing too, I wouldn't have even touched this game if it didn't use the Wario Land characters.

Wario Land 3 Metroid-Vania styled Wario Land would be so cool to see again, Wario Land 4 was a bit short and linear for me, and i hope they could make him invincible again.
