So why exactly does Terrormisu look like Princess Peach?

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
I never understood this. Is there any reason why the antagonist in Wario Master of Disguise looks roughly like a fifty year old Princess Peach cosplayer?

Cause in a lot of other Wario games, the villains did make at least a certain amount of sense. Syrup was a pirate captain who stole a statue of Princess Peach. Rudy pretended to be some sort of god and took over another world (why he was a clown on the other hand was left unclear), the Black Jewel was treasure Wario mistakenly picked up and the Shake King... well, he looks the part of an evil viking/pirate leader, doesn't he?

But why does Terrormisu look like Peach in some sense? What logic is there to it? Did they just decide to be 'LOL random' for the hell of it?

I have no idea...
Why go with a stereotypical princess look for a villain?
Maybe they thought the irony of a princess being the villain was oh so very funny to them.

I thought her "human" form actually had potential to look unique enough but they didn't stick with it. Pity.

Sorry to bump a old/dead thread, but i've played Master of Disguise again(yes I do like the game) and noticed some similaritys between Terrormisus battle and Super Princess Peach.
First of: Terrormisu uses masks resembling following emotions: sadness, joy and anger, notice how sadness and anger work almost exactly like they do in SPP: crying a river and bursting flames. Which makes me wonder whether or not this fight was supposed to be a jab at SPP.Both games came out in 2007 and SPP recieves a lot more promotion from Nintendo, which makes me wonder whether or not this was a way for the develebors to show their distaste for the game.

That's actually a really good theory. Indeed, given how much of the Wario Land series is basically a parody of the Mario series as is, perhaps Wario Master of Disguise as a whole can be seen as parodying or pastiching Super Princess Peach and other Mario spinoffs of the era.

Perhaps the costumes Wario wears themselves could almost be a heroic version of the emotions from that other game...
