Nah, it's not your fault. Such things can happen when you're on a public video site where every user is free to comment. But even if you don't like it, I think you shouldn't try to take counter-measures, as such commentors tend to be quite easily upset when you comment on their behaviour. Just try to ignore them, that's possibly the best you can do.
