    18-Volt probably got that name to make it fit with his appearance; he's older and much taller than 9-Volt, which makes a doubling in number appropriate. 18 volts is also a common voltage for battery-driven power tools, but I don't think that was the intention behind the name.

    5-Volt is most likely named after the operation voltage of USB devices, and 13-Amp probably after the standard value for fuses in British plugs.

    (I've studied electrical and electronics engineering, that's how I know of these values.)

    Thanks for the insight! I thought 18-volt was the operating voltage for a device too, but I also theorized it was because he looked 18.

    That's quite possibly true as well; I've always thought that 9-Volt is 9 years old, and 18-Volt is indeed 18 years of age, but that's he's still in primary education because of whatever reason.

    Not too big on Mario but I have played 3D World/Bowser’s Fury and Odyssey and enjoyed them a lot. (Haven’t played them in a while tho) Never played Donkey Kong Country 2.

    This might sound weird, but is being more apathetic a side effect of being tired? I can’t feel anything for my favorite characters rn… I guess I just don’t have the energy.

    Weird how there are usually so many guests, and like 2 people with accounts. If all those guests signed up we’d have so much more forum activity! I wonder why they don’t sign up?

    That's the problem with forums... they can be intimidating, at least to some, and so they're encouraged to be lurkers and sit out the community, not challenging the status quo. I was certainly part of that guest statistic for quite some time before I took the plunge and signed up. Don't think there's much we can do about it, other than set an example by giving every account a warm welcome to encourage others to do the same.
