Nah, I try to avoid bold as much as possible. I think it looks ugly and too attention-grabbing. Other than using italics and small caps for non-video game related initialisms, I mostly try to keep my text plain, as I think it looks better that way.

I use bold and italic text to help emphasis a point, get it across the best i can. Normal text doesn't cut it in my book.
That said, i use it sparingly, very sparingly. (see what i did there?)
