Ah sry. Confused it with the Switch eShop. Forget what I said allworried: I am just so used to the Switch eShop.

Just create an european eShop account and you can download the Demo. No need for VPN. I have a japanese, american and european account for stuff that comes earlier/exclusive in those regions.
