Yep, a Crescent Moon Village inspired area, complete with the same music as in Wario Land 4. And hey, Metal Slug soldiers too, because why not?
Unfortunately... the game itself sucked. Bad level design, broken game engine, lots of glitches... it's a real shame given how some of the ideas were decent. You can read about the game in question and its many issues here:

So yeah, does anyone else like it when Wario references are included in Mario fan games and works (even if many of the works themselves are a bit crap)?
