A popular Vtuber did a stream where she played WarioWare Twisted using the Gamecube player (huh) and this prompted one of the QA testers on the game's NA release, Dan Callan, to share a story about the wacky things they needed to do to test the game. Hoping nobody tries to tape the gyro to a Gamecube controller after this...







 
That's an interesting thing to hear, and I didn't know it's actually physically possible to play this game on the GameCube.

But why the heck were they still using VHS in 2004?

A lot of organizations stick to outdated medium and progamming languages due to institutional inertia. IIRC by 2014 sending content submissions to the ESRB still required sending a video cd.

The policy of not replacing equipment as long as it's still functioning does likely play a role too.
