That's cool I guess. And according to Mario Wiki, you can also kill them by ramming into their belly with a shoulder barge when they're jumping out of the water.
But I do have to wonder though... how are you supposed to figure this out?
Because trying to actually time this is a right pain in the neck. They swim fast, attack you near instantly and give you maybe about half a second to strike back, so trying to take them all out is more likely to kill Wario than the enemies.
Ah well. Guess that might be another infuriating as hell thing you'll need to do to get 100% completion, since these things actually drop money after being defeated. How freaking great. Looks like any good Wario fan will have to take out every single one of these things without taking a single hit...
