Mmm... it is a skin only. It doesn't has many differences.

EDIT:

It would be cool if Wario would be the third player in that videogame with Toad like fourth player, like characters would not have difference but it could be more cool because you could play with 3 players like Wario and Toad.

Yeah some new abilities and being able to have Wario as player 3 and maybe Waluigi as player 4 would be nice.

But it's still neat to see.

I remember there was a Super Mario Land SNES remake that did that. It was called Bew Super Mario Land iirc.

This is from an alternative universe where Master of Disguise was actually called "New Wario Land" and the series just turned into the same old "Captain Syrup steals warios gold" and "Its the Wario Land 1 bosses again"

and then I dunno, Wario Land Wonder comes out and... well you know the rest
