What is purpose of coin clouds in VBWL?

These floating coin clouds do not seem to have any purpose at all in Virtual Boy Wario Land. I have tried buttons to trigger their secrets, but no thing. I have even read the manual, (http://www.planetvb.com/modules/games/?r018b), but there isn't thing either.
Do any of you have a clue for what they are floating for?

Coin Cloud

These are clouds that have a coin on the side. Throw an enemy into it to
get a big coin. Do this as many times as you like.
