Who's excited for Bloodstained

Metal

Don't be sad cause it's over pimps
After hearing how badly Konami has been doing lately with Kojima leaving and the new Silent Hill being cancelled, I was beginning to lose hope in the company. It didn't help that Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 becoming one of the biggest let downs ever. It seems Bloodstained virtually a spiritual successor to Castlevania is looking in top shape. It's my favorite game series so I'm ecstatic that a spiritual successor will be coming out soon, it sure is looking fantastic.

Aside from just gameplay the entire thing reminds me of Castlevania Symphony of the night which is probably one of the best Castlevania games it also shifted to the more metroid style of gameplay with rpg elements. SOTN was a bit too easy once you got a ton of upgrade though if Bloodstained would work out like Order of Ecclesia or so where the challenge is more balanced it could work.

Some sample music to go along with, it truly does sound like a spiritual successor.

Now for the main protagonist herself, she's called Miriam and it seems she draws inspiration from another Castlevania protag Shanoa.

Something that really interests me is that it seems Jake Kaufman is signed on to have a hand in the music. He sure gets around a lot nowadays from previously just being WayForward's go-to composer. I do wonder what he'll contribute though I generally enjoy his work so I'm not worried.

It sure looks great! That being said i'm slowly starting to give up on hype since everything looks good. PT, Mighty no.9, Mass Effect Andromeda, every new Assassin's Creed game. I'll just see how good it is when it comes out.

We've finally received some gameplay for Bloodstained, and it looks very Rondo of Blood, SOTN styled games that Igarashi is pretty much known for.
It looks exciting as hell and can't wait to eventually play it, it also seems good as a portable game option which atm is only on the Switch if you consider it part of a handheld.

Not only that but aside from Bloodstained, Netflix has also had a hand at I'm not sure if reviving is a good word for it but something similar towards Castlevania themselves.
With their 4 part mini-series as it tells the story about the first 3 games while the events are set up during the 3rd game in the franchise Dracula's Curse.

Definitely worth the watch, the beginning can be sluggish but towards the end of it you get to see a lot of action much like the original games. As this seems like a prelude to whats to come in later seasons I'm hoping.

Thinking of just turning this into a Castlevania/Bloodstained general entirely, ever since the Simon Belmont reveal we've been having some interesting things in terms of fan art. Some one even recreated the trailer but with Luggy instead.
