Like Kirby and the Forgotten Land or Donkey Kong Bananza? Would you want it to retain the style of Wario World on GameCube, or go for something else?
And how would things like the plot, characters, etc potentially work here?
Wildflower Fields is probably the least interesting thematically, and not too fun to play, while the likes of The Big Board are probably the most annoying due to the mechanics.
Eh, I wouldn't say they're boring, but the Mario platformers kinda got caught with two issues:
1. The New Super Mario Bros games are very unoriginal and uncreative, so the titles between Super Mario Land 2 and Super Mario Bros Wonder don't stand...

when we were on "sticking out your gyatt for the rizzler" humor from 2023 i was still reeling from goofy ahh quandale...
Yeah I know what you mean there. That's why most fan games, mods and indie games never get finished in general. It's hard to maintain the motivation needed to go beyond a demo.
Ah fair enough.
That said, I still think this game has plenty of potential. It's got transformations, level themes, enemies, bosses and mechanics Wario Land 4 doesn't have, plus an entirely different type of game design in general. There's room...
