Most Wario games sold well in Japan and anecdotally, I've come across a number of super-dedicated Japanese wario fans on twitter. It's only really Shake it (which I shake up to the Wii not doing as well there) that has noticeably disproportionate Japan vs overseas ratio.
The only way live-action WarioWare-anything would "work" is if you intentionally leaned into how terrible an idea it is and made it a commentary on current IP adaptations trends.
Preferably just don't do it.
