Definitely 4. It was so much fun to abuse the hell outta that guy. Also the reason his head looks different in 4, was because he had a light surgically transplanted in there.
1: something like WL2 or WL3. those are my personal favourites WLs and none of the current Nintendo platformers are doing anything like those.
2: Do something completely OTT and make it a fully-assed single plane 2D beat em up. Something like...
Apparently not. It's based on some characters from The Year Without a Santa Claus:

Given how unknown it is here in the UK, I'm gonna guess it's a lot more popular in the States.
That's what I would prefer too. I feel like it's totally doable to have a fast paced game while focusing on puzzles, they just need to do extra effort on the level design.
I like your thinking. I was playing a lot of Metroid Dread a while ago and was thinking the team behind it would make a killer WL3 style game.
Would be pretty cool to see how that could look today.
Hey guys! Big Wario fan here, and I wanted to share a little Wario World arrangement I did.
This series has such awesome music, so I'll probably do more arrangements from the various Wario Land (and WarioWare) games in time!
Would you want the game to be more focused on speed like 4 and VB? Or lean closer to puzzle solving and exploration like 2 and 3?
Honestly, I could go either way. As long as they're fun and not too slow or easy.
