I was watching a show on Comedy Central - a older episode of the show, actually, called @Midnight and they mentioned Wario on it as a joking reply to a topic. Did anyone else happen to catch that? I couldn't find a clip online to add to it but I'll try and crop the scene and host it myself later...

I guess ranks wouldn't hurt. You could make them named after fodder enemies for the low tier and then more mini-boss to boss to Wario friends and then eventually him as you go up. Maybe toss in some of the various treasures he gets and coins into that mix.

I'm curious; if you could enter the realm the Wario games take place, what would you do? Would you try and befriend him? Steal from him? Stay the heck away from him? Me, I'd try and worm my way into going on one of his adventures with him. Always been fond of that whole Indiana Jones style of...

Hmm... for the fan-based board icon, I would go with something depicting Wario as a concept / abstract. For example, a opaque image of him or him in a thought balloon or a dotten lined outline or sketch-art style image of him. Or maybe just the W logo used in Mario Land 2 on his castle.

We could use a board under Wario Discussion for Wario-topic off-game chat. Something like Non-Game Wario Chat or something. A place to discuss game concepts we have or Wario as a creative concept.

With the 3DS it would be very easy for them to port as well, although the atmosphere would be lost since you won't have your face concealing everything but the game. I know it sounds simple and petty, but that tiny element of the console really gave that game a little extra oomph.

Well, it is, yes. But then again, so are the Wario Ware games, technically, as they have about as much to do with Wario as Wario's Woods did.

Mario Land 2, since he was the boss and I played that first. :P But seriously, yeah, Wario Land 1 was my first as well. I think each in the series has had its own unique charm about it that made it feel different than the others. Except Wario's Woods... that was just a basic clone of Columns.
