Unfortunately, it seems the mood manager has issues with this version, so it's disabled for now. Also looking into upgrading the shop system, though that could be a while given how I need to renew that one.
But yeah, I thought this site would...
Sorry for the lack of posts lately... I won't promise that I'm back for real this time but I do see there's a little discord icon down there and I do promise that I'll join the discord and sometimes look at it, maybe do some riffs. I'm still...
It depends on the game really, I'd say Sunshine doesn't need a Game Over system since it has very few checkpoints and is a more open game but when it comes to a linear game like Mario Galaxy, lives do make a difference. If you just try a section...
When I said life, I was actually talking about health. But I actually really like life systems in platformers, it makes you more self-conscious about your actions instead of just doing whatever without consequences, implying that your levels have...
I completely forgot about it, lol. Cool that they referenced a game like that, I don't recall them doing it here before (maybe I'm wrong).
Also, February 2025 :
I wouldn't say it's worse but it does feel very unpowerful to be small Wario. You're basicaly Mario but worse at that point. But at least you can grab a Garlic to become big again.
Come to think of it they shoud do a new life system. Kinda like...
I honestly think being little Wario is worse than just getting knocked out of the arena in 2 and 3. Get hit once by a boss and you're just done because Tiny Wario can't do shit. Just have to let the bastard kill you. :shulk:
Heck, even Master of Disguise. I haven't played it and I don't if I'd like it, Smash is made for that kind of references.
Agreed. I'm a huge Sonic fan (surprising I know) and there's so much they could have done. Even the Classic games ahve more...
Eh... I just don't find immortal gameplay to be very entertaining. Currently playing through Wario Land 3 and (almost) finished Wario Land 2 and I found the immortal mechanic to hurt the game for than anything. Dodging well placed enemies is...
Yeah, I find the Wario movesets to be pretty underwhelming for what Wario is capable of. Same thing for Sonic tbh, but I guess neither of what I said is an unpopular opinion.
Hope if they do a new Smash game, they revise some of the movesets so the experience is fresh... also because I hope they make some more Land references in Wario's moveset.
