I used to play the multiplayer mode with friends in Turok: Evolution on GameCube. I only played as the wise old man and I NEVER used firearms, only an axe. (They called me "The Axe Murderer")
My strategy: ambush friends and hack them to pieces. If confronted, jump around like a madman and edge closer, waving axe fiercely.

Oh well did you know on one of the maps (I can't remember) you can fly up into the sky as a raptor if you swim in the water and I think hold the y button.
