I was meaning to become more active outside of just one thread for a while, though I will admit that Koopaul's rants made me see it as a good time to start
I see. I can understand his rants actually, I'm not sure if we can do much to fix that, it's like forcing people to do stuff they're not really willing to do, in a place they should be chilling and having a good time, you know.
It's up to everyone to decide where they want to post, but as someone that used to try to promote interest in Wario discussion I do feel like I should actually act upon it again, I don't really feel forced into it personally, but I can see others feeling a little different
We have plans to do a Youtube channel, hopefully to call for some attention to the forums. I do some advertizing on my channel as well. Dunno if that's what you were referring to, but it's happening.
Well, we technically already are reaching all areas, right? I mean we specialize in Wario games, but we have other topics in general gaming. Maybe it's not enough? I'm not sure.
Sort of I mean we did that with Rhythm Heaven but that didn't really boost RH related activity or attract RH fans. I don't really have any concrete ideas but I feel like we need to be broaden and emphasize our scope to attract more people. However, we can't also just become a generic video game forum either.
In case anyone took my message on Discord that it would only be a matter of time before Discord is the #1 place for Wario discussion seriously; it was supposed to be ironic.
imo heewing and hawing about the activity of a forum dedicated to a children video game franchise is dumb and you people should really jsut enjoy yourselves
beside places like this have been dying en-masse in the past decade to the rise of popular social medias. Forums are going the way of the bulletin board system brehs!
I'm not the overzealous WarioForums Patriot I used to be. It was Koopaul this time around that gave a long rant. If this place croaks I'd be ready to hit the road. Still, I'd just like to see this place around for a bit longer.
@Glowsquid its not so much that a forum dedicated to a certain game dying thats a bummer, but a community that you were once excited to take a part of, like I rarely even took part in wario based discussions anyway : p Not that I feel a need to get all worked up about it or whatever. Though, I would like to say that we DO have casual threads for random conversation like the social thread and random goofiness, so its not like such things wer4e impossible on the forum : p
