That reminds me... Last year, I began writing a dream journal -- for those who aren't in the know, a dream journal is a little diary of sorts in which someone documents all of their dream ventures, usually soon after waking up (you'll forget them very quickly if you don't write it down).
Most of my dreams seem to be related to whatever I did the previous day, which, judging by the things I've heard from others, is common in most people. But every once in awhile, my mind will take me to some very, very unusual places, and most of the time I can't even recall what it was about by the time I've woken up, eager to write down (or attempt to recall) my experience.
It's interesting, to see where our minds wander while we're not actively using them. It says a lot about how one's mind functions. What our goals are, what we worry about, and how that all changes over time. That's why I keep the journal in the first place; as a means of monitoring my mind and its fluctuations in focus.
