Donkey Kong Land 1 is a very different game, and Donkey Kong Land 3 is incredibly different just because of the hardware (see what they did to KAOS and Bleak), but... I'm sorry, Donkey Kong Land 2 is at best a slight reimagining of the SNES game and at worst a cut down port.
Also, it cut out Haunted Hall and the boss theme, so eh there's that.
