They didn't put the effort in to give the actual VA a filter, why would they do it for the player dubbing? WarioWare has had a voice cast for over 10 years now. Why would they just throw that away?
I'm really conflicted. Clearly that isn't Red's original VA because his voice was squeaks. I'm not sure if that's Ashley's original VA or not. It doesn't sound like it.
Sounded a little negative to me. There was no reason to throw the word "biased" in there at all and his overall tone was unpleasant. His video about Sakurai not saying "he didn't add Waluigi because he wasn't sure if his popularity was real" had a lot more energy to it.
I'm praying that Ashley's Touched boss isn't in, or if at is at least not in her stage. It's the only reason I hesitate to play her stage in Touched because it takes so friggin' long and one wrong move can wipe your progress in an instant.
Why does the rest of the world save for America/Japan have a demo? Their biggest markets are being left out without so much as putting the same trailer on YouTube. This is weird.
I've actually asked Charles about doing Wario's voice before via an e-mail (he actually replied and I was more excited than someone winning the lottery.) He said that he loves doing Wario but the voice does hurt his throat. That could explain why it changes.
I really wish Nintendo did more like this these days. They had a charm to them. I don't think he could get away with saying he'll cover a woman in "spaghetti meatball sauce" these days, though, or asking her to "play with his gold coinses."
