Today, I was bored out of my mind, and I decided to search "wario is better than mario" for no genuine reason other than to see people's opinions.
I stumbled upon this article regarding how Wario is more relatable than Mario.
It's quite interesting if I say so myself. It shows Wario isn't neccessary a 100% evil person.
That's a pretty nice article. Indeed, it makes you kind of feel sorry for old Wario when you realise how many people have screwed him over during his life.
It also makes you realise how comparatively nuanced the series is ethically. Oh sure, it's not supposed to be super complex in terms of morality or anything, but hey, it's definitely a bit less black and white than the Mario series, where it's pretty much 'Mario is the beacon of pureness and goodness and Bowser/anyone else against him is flat out evil and wrong'.
I still haven't forgiven Mario for pulling that shit. Wario goes through all that trouble, risking his life several times and this asshole is just like "Yoink! Haha!". >.>
