between these two what do you see Wario more as

Option 1: an animal man
like if Donkey Kong is an animal that acts like a human then Wario is a human that acts like an animal, full on anarchist, anti-establishment, think of guys like Frank Reynolds from IASIP or Diogenes from Ancient Greece, also reminds me of Tyler Durden from Fight Club just doing whatever he wants in the moment and feeling disrespected from society

Option 2: the ultimate man
big, burly, gross, would definitely go out and hunt endangered species for fun or take down a rainforest to build a casino, think of him vs Donkey Kong like Tarzan vs Clayton or the Beast vs Gaston, just the embodiment of human grit to the absolute extreme, Wario also reminds me of in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure part 2 when the nazis basically go to war with the ultimate beings of the earth using absolute might and machinery

it annoys me when people talk about "the many warios" because I agree but I dont think the rift is between Wario Land and WarioWare I think the rift is in between his depiction as a gorilla man and as a MAN.. if that makes sense

Probably a less villainous and more anti-heroic version of the latter. Wario always strikes me as a super powerful badass who doesn't care about almost anyone else.

i honestly do not care for the anti-hero depiction of Wario

sure he can accidentally do good things and care about his friends... but so did marilyn manson yknow?

i really like rival wario and villain wario over deadpool wario

Eh, he's less anti-villain as good person and more than his villains are as bad or worse. Like, Captain Syrup is pretty much identical to Wario motivation wise, and just as bad a person, while Rudy, the Golden Diva, the Black Jewel, Terrormisu or the Shake King are significantly worse.

i do get what youre saying, i do like that kind of "bad guy vs evil guy" dynamic

if you want more like that i recommend the nic cage movie snake eyes, its about a corrupt cop that takes down a corrupt fbi agent

a line in it that kind of reminds me of wario vs bowser, paraphrased

"why dont you have a problem with this? you turn a blind eye on all sorts of horrid shit, you take bribes, why wont you just give me the girl"
"i never killed anybody"
