How do you actually unlock super hard mode in Wario Land 4? How does S-hard mode differ from hard mode?

I beat the game on hard mode thinking that was all I needed to do to unlock s-hard mode but I was wrong. I googled for a bit and there's a bunch of contradictory info on whether I need to 100% all collectables and get 10,000+ score on each missions or if I just need to beat the bosses with all of their treasure intact. Most of them say I just need to beat the game on hard which is wrong.

Also, how does S-hard mode differ from hard mode? Do you just take more damage, have less time or is the placement of the collectables different?

Well, I'm pretty sure you don't need 10,000 coins on every level to do so. I suspect it'd just be beating all the bosses with all the treasure intact, though I've not unlocked it for a while.

As for how it differs... it's got way, way more enemies in every level (including a few right by the starting point), you begin with only 1 hit point, the time limits are far lower, the treasures and items are in trickier to reach locations and some levels actually change where the frog switch is. It's a real challenge, that's for sure!
