Is WarioWare almost an accurate story of the current games industry?

Four second experiences sold at a decent price in a system with zero quality control and a general race for the bottom mindset (Flappy Bird could have easily been a WarioWare microgame).

Egomaniac company owners getting into the market for a quick buck and hiring their friends despite no one knowing anything about good game design or programming.

You can almost see Wario becoming the president of King or Zynga or whatever. He'd certainly have the right personality for the job.

Heck, the Game & Wario 'crowdfarter' video is actually pretty accurate to most current day Silicon Valley startups:

Of course, the WarioWare crowd is more 'diverse' than their counterparts in Silicon Valley, but hey, that's because Wario is awesome.

So yeah, anyone find WarioWare a somewhat depressingly accurate commentary on the modern video game industry?

That's brilliant! I had never delved so far into this line of thinking. Funny how all this crap being pulled in WarioWare comes out as both hilarious and entertaining. :)
