So, Nintendo is in talks for movies and this got me wondering. What kind of movies from Nintendo would you like to see? How about Mario making a come back to the big screen, but this time in animation form and not the...live action one.

Or even Zelda. That would be cool to see. So, what sort of Nintendo Move would you like to see? It can be anything, really!

I would love to see a Super Mario movie, not only would it be awesome but the characters and world of Mario will come to life! We'll see more of the characters we known and love for years.

While I don't have a preference, there is one thing I'd like to bring up. It seems most movie adaptations seem to develop their own fanbases often distinct from the source material so I wonder if a movie adaptation would be an actual benefit in bringing people in to these series.
 
I think Zelda would be the best thing to make a movie out of, actually : p Its perfect movie material. A fantasy world with fictional races in a magical kingdom with an evil warlock trying to take power over everyone, hopefully theyd use OoT to make the film though, and not like Twilight Princess or anything.

Would be grumpy if they made a movie out of Twilight Princess > : /
 
A Zelda movie would be cool, probably one of the plausible Nintendo series to get a film due to the fantasy nature. Hope we also get our obligatory Zelda spin off sequel with our favorite little green man Tingle. As he roams the land of Hyrule going KOO-LOO-LIMPA! at everyone he meets. Oh it'd also be sick if it'll just be Tingle walking his strut everywhere in the great ocean seas like in WW as the other Tingles just work on the giant wooden machine being slave drivers, how could you Tingle.
 
A Metroid movie could be cool, too. I think it would make a good sci fi film. Dont think it would ever happen though : p
 
I actually don't think Metroid would make a good movie. The Metroid series has a strong atmospheric feeling of isolation that I do not think would translate well to a movie. Samus's handling would also be another issue since she is meant to be an avatar for the player in some ways and in these sorts of adaptations you'd have to make one interpretation of the character that may not sit well with people.
 
It'd be hard since there are hardly many people characters in metroid aside from samus herself. I'd definitely not want to see anthony incorporated in any film adaptation either.

Ah yeah thats true, Im sure there would be fans who were unhappy with how Samus would be portrayed yeah. I hear that there fans who were unhappy with her character in Other M even : p

And it would definitely be like one of those films that wasnt totally with the game franchise, like the Resident Evil series. But the idea of alien creatures who attach themselves to heads of people would make a pretty neat film : p
 
That's why Mario is the way to go. It has all sorts of memorable characters, such as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Boswer, Koopalings and way more! I bet this forum will go nuts if Wario is in somewhere.
 
The plot would be to go save the princess, but Wario and Waluigi will always get in the Mario bros way, making Wario and Waluigi appear often. RPG Mario games show that even something like Mario could have deep stories.
 
Though with the handling of the Mario series lately, who knows how adventurous they'd be with making such a movie.
 
I wonder if in the Mario Movie Universe if you die you stay dead, if not there will not be much risk, just come back with a 1-up. So, things such as drama moments where when bro or both could face death would be meaningless, just start over from the beginning. lol
 
I still think Metroid would translate well to a movie. Admittedly, I'm hard-pressed to think of a way to give anyone significant character development, but the atmosphere would be really great in cinematic form, and I'm sure it would lend itself well to a movie similar to Alien, by which Metroid was inspired.
