If there's anything I hate in this God forsaken world. It's . Nintendo glazers. Scalpers and grifters
I'm sure a few of you heard about these 3. So Idk if you need an introduction. But long story short.
Nintendo glazers: they treat the company like some sort of prophet. Anything that's not Nintendo is bad in their eyes.
Scalpers: people who buy stuff very quick only to resell it a load of bullocks price.
Grifters: people who say dumb shit for money. And it's usually by the same type of people. Who go "lgbt woke bad"

I think these types of individuals make the Internet miserable as all they do is make other people riled up for the sake of their on benefit.
While yes people have opinions. But there's a line between having an opinion and full on glazing.
I may not make any sense but honestly. I'm just curious to see what you lot think.

So basically most of YouTube? Let's be honest, every Switch 2 video is either playing up the console as the messiah or saying it's the worst thing since the Virtual Boy. Yes, it's kinda obnoxious.

most grifters don't even get money for saying idiotic shit, they just act like dicks to make a few people like them.

Nintendo glazers are so bizarre to me. They don’t like to hear any criticism whatsoever, unless it’s about another game company. I don’t think Nintendo is entirely terrible of course, but I can admit a lot of my love for the company is purely nostalgia, or just for the select few games I like. I can separate my love for the product and my distaste for the company for the most part, but some people just cannot. They have to love the company too, and I get it at face value. You want to support the people who make things you like. But it just ends up snuffing out and shutting down good conversations about some of Nintendo’s bad practises.
And grifting… It’s honestly one of the most frustrating things out there right now. It’s always been a thing, but people find it so much more lucrative now in the age of social media, so it’s a lot more prevalent. It really gets under my skin. It’s terrible, you can tell they’re just shilling a hateful rhetoric they don’t even care about that much, for money. But it’s hitting the ears of young impressionable people who’ll believe what they say and adopt their beliefs as their own. It’s not even enough to just ignore it, because it finds its way onto your social media somehow. So I get your frustration.

Yeah the grift is even worse if your a minority (lgbt person of colour etc) cozy they boast about how masculinity is "ruined" and proceeds to just be really vile.

True. They'll act like they're all that but the moment someone tells them that they do it for money they say the stupidest shit

Truth! However the only reason I dislike the switch 2 is the price hikes. If I wanna get games I want them to be affordable. But unfortunately tarrifs and greed have caused the price hikes to happen to begin with

Well...it happens with a lot of dandoms out there, from back then and now...the thing in regards of fandoms is that more often than not, they tend to go to the extreme side. Granted, perhaps back then it wasn't too "common" to see it but I guess it was more because it wasn't published or easily seeable as it is today thanks to the technology advances.

There could be many reasons behind it but I am not the smartest tool in the toolbox to know that answer...what I think on how Nintendo glazers kiss Miyamoto shoes to get them always crystal clean, is because of the same thing I heard sometime for a while: "They saved the video game industry".

Yeah, perhaps that was back then, but that doesn't excuse them from the "Now", which is somethinig that they refuse to acknowledge. One could say, their games were usually good and they always tried to do and explore with their games at a certain degree, but...isn't that the same with other companies? I'm damn sure that SEGA tried many things with their IP's on their consoles back then (God bless Shenmue and Illbleed), Capcom and Square Enix had a decent if not big amount of IPs that could continue working on them but...as time passes and as the niche industry became dominated by the suits, they became more of what "they sell" rather than their core of their foudnation of their companies. Yeah, you want to get some money, but also is better to not jeopordize your artistic vision for the sake of more budget (Suda51 I remember discovering that and thus downsizing his company to what it is now in favour of more creative freedom, even if it costs him quality in regards of visuals and budget spending).

Dunno, I think that like many now, Nintendo just "stick to what it is safe bets"....and because there are a lot of people that grew up with Nintendo, they kinda try to deny that they just are another company more that went to the "safe bet" route, that or not seeing their shitty PR practices. Is something that sooner or later, they will have to accept. Economy isn't the best right now, and overall, I think people are not taking more abuses or try to get as minimum of that as possible, so either they change their treatment or they will just eventually fall from grace, just like Disney and any other.

Scalpers and Grifters are kinda the same but in different "department", they see the necessity out of the people, and instead of an actual attempt of help or option, they see it as an opporunity of quick buck. But every farce, and every hole on their schemes and calculations, could end up being an eventual sinking of ship that people learn from, some quickier than others.
