Oh hey, we got that new Rhythm Heaven Game!

I was still in middle school when the last one released and now I am out of college that is how long it has been! I notice that some of these games have sets of characters in them so I am hoping that there will be an actual co-op mode outside of the two player games in Fever, maybe even including 4 players this time (the duck one being a perfect example). I am hoping that the game we see at the beginning is just the Rhythm Test rather than an actual game, at least if that is the start of the game then it makes sense. After all, the last two WarioWares put great co-op so why not this game?

If there is one thing I can say though, is that I am definitely kind of weirded out by the art style, because it seems more WarioWare than anything while each game in the series has had more or less a consistent style. I think I can get used to it but it kind of does not look like a Rhythm Heaven game to me with how these styles clash... I am hoping that having another year of development time means that this is just more early footage compared to what we will see in the actual game. I wonder if Tomodachi Life or this game have been longer in development. But at the end of the day, I am consistently impressed with how each WarioWare and Rhythm Heaven has its own unique aesthetic... although is TNX the sole co-developer?

Oh, and I also think it's hilarious how the character at the beginning directly states that the game does not have a big overarching story, as if it was a big diss to Megamix because I do not know how many people liked Tibby's story in that game XDDDDD

.... why does the voice at the beginning sound like the Bonzi Buddy text-to-speech? Anyways, it's great to see that Rhythm Heaven is back! Even if I'm not a huge fan of it, I think Fever was pretty fun.

Huh, you're right. It's definitely an odd choice... I don't really like it to be honest.

I played the ds rhythm heaven when i was 5, i’ve loved it all the way and paved the way to get me into wario and to better understand music in general, eventually i’ve played the megamix collection on the 3ds, seeing nintendo recognize this series again is so amazing, as really a lot more people need to play this series, it really opens your mind, best announcement of the direct.

Yeah it is not like the game looks bad or anything but it just looks like outside of the jump rope game Ko Takeuchi's style is not really there. I wonder if some of this stuff was thrown together in time for the last Switch 1 direct.
