Other Fourm Sites?

ghastlyToast

yes, it's a homestuck reference
Fourms are much more niche then they used to be with most of them dying out completly or migrating to discord. I usually prefer smaller communities to talk about my intrests not a discord server with potentially 1,000+ active users. Feels like you can't get a word in or really talk to anyone to me.

Any other fourm sites you'd reccommend out there or even a discord server if you're comfortable sharing?

Forums? Honestly hard to recommend many right now sadly. Tiger's Nintendo DS Central is neat, but the activity feels a bit low to be a full-time internet destination right now. Gaming Latest is still sorta active, but the community kinda doesn't fit the feel of Gaming Reinvented or Wario Forums as much as it used to.

Discord wise Studio21 is pretty good for Wario fans, and the WarioWare Cult is pretty active, but they're very different communities from this one. The former is more focused on WarioWare DIY and music production in particular, while the latter has a much younger audience with a massive WarioWare focus.

They're both more fun to hang out in than the Wario subreddit or other big social media spaces though.

WarioWare Cult
Yeah I've been in WW Cult before and you can definetly tell its a younger crowd. That's good in its own respect though, I'm glad they have a space they can talk about their interest with others freely. That's probably why I prefer fourms, you'll typically see an older crowd.

I can't think of many, sadly. Forums in general have mostly died out and almost everything is centralised into places like Reddit and Discord now. It's a shame. I love having a nice, close-knit community I can hangout in on an independent website as opposed to having to scroll through a subreddit where posts can get buried easily, or an overpopulated Discord server. Forums are more comfortable and easier to navigate, IMO.

I'm not sure about any forums specific to video games but if you mean just forums in general, there are some fairly new ones that have appeared in recent years that seem decent. I'd recommend Melonland and YellowTealPurple if you're into artsy stuff of even just want a community to have general discussions in. Both are fairly new (made within the last couple of years) and have a decent amount of daily activity.

Melonland and YellowTealPurple
Oh wow these are great! Melondland seems to be focused on website design along with creative aspects to it. Might be good if I ever wanted to learn how to code, looks like they have a lot of guides.

YellowTealPurple seems like exactly what I'd like in a site off first glance. Though I don't think I'd post my own art here I can still imagine being active! It reminds me of Newgrounds! Definitely going to check this one out. Thank you for the recommendations!

I should probably post a reccommendation of my own :warioshakeit:The main one I try to keep tabs on is RPGamers.net. They used to have a fourm... but ended up migrating over to Discord. It's not very active at least, I think you can count on your hands the amount of activity which is a plus to me.

I only discovered it last year while trying to find some online radios to listen to while working... online radios are another dying internet site/culture(?). It's been around longer than google! That's so hard for me to even imagine considering "google it" is just a term commonly used now. The moderator is still so passionate for his site and is still actively working on it. It's really commendable to me with streaming being so main stream he cares for the >100 people still tuning in everyday. Give them a listen if you have the time.

If you're a Sonic fan, Sonic Staidum is a good pick. It's by far the most active forum I'm in. They have so much stuff in it, clubs, galleries, blogs, it's kind of a huge place but still condensed enough to feel like a forum site.

I remember trying Sonic Retro but I don't believe I got past the approval threads so I stopped looking for other Sonic fourms lol. I'm a huge Sonic fan so having a place just to yap about it is perfect! Thanks for the recommendation, I can't believe I haven't tried it before.

Sonic Retro is such a cool site, at least to view. I never made an account on it the amount of I used for ROM Hacking, looking how Classic physic work, or other information about the inner working about the Classic Sonic games is practically uncountable.

Only other forum I'm familiar with is the Technodrome Forums. Time really did a number on it though. But if you're a big enough Turtles fan, you might find some enjoyment out of it.
