So, why did Wario platformers keep getting outsourced?

Treasure, Suzak, GoodFeel... it's like everyone but Nintendo made a Wario platformer in recent years. Why are Nintendo seemingly so afraid of actually making one in house?

And for that matter, why has the same thing happened to the Yoshi series?

My guess is:

For Wario World: Nintendo R&D1/SPD 1 has no experience making 3D games. They even cited that as the reason for teaming up with Team Ninja for Metroid Other M.

For the 2D platformers: The "funny games" team was busy with Rhytm Heaven, WW and various miscelany (Kiki Trick, Play-Yan, misc. DSi apps... etc) while the Metroid guys had Metroid Dread in development hell (and Other M after that).

Well the same thing was going on for Star Fox too it seemed. If it ain't Mario, Zelda, Nintendogs/Miistuff, or Animal Crossing, there's a good chance it'll get outsourced.
