Was anyone else disappointed by the lack of actual sound test in Wario Land 4?

I mean, the sound room CDs are a neat idea, but come on, those level songs are fantastic. There should have been a switch or something to go between the sound room exclusive tracks and the game's 'normal' music, perhaps with the normal songs unlocked in some other way (maybe on a higher difficulty level or something?)

It sucks too since it means most attempts to record the soundtrack have the sound of the portal at the beginning of them.
