Was Wario Master of Disguise influenced by...

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
Mario & Luigi Partners in Time?

Cause they've both got the exact same plot twist:

That the Big Bad is sealed away inside a broken mcguffin you have to travel the kingdom/world collecting. In Partners in Time, that's Elder Princess Shroob. In Master of Disguise, it's Terrormisu.

Heck, they both even have relatives or less powerful forms causing havoc in the 'normal' world at the same time. Princess Shroob acts like the Big Bad while her sister is imprisoned, and Terrormisu's 'human' form manipulates Wario into collecting the Wishstones and messing everything up more.

And given the one and a bit year gap between the games, I do wonder whether the similarities were intentional. I mean, Terrormisu herself is already a twisted parody of Princess Peach at least in style, and the Wario series does live mocking and making small references to the more mainstream Mario games...

What do you think?

Aside from Terrormisu being a parody of Peach I doubt the two games have some sort of connection even with the similar gap and plot twist. It's just a coincidence.

I don't think so. It's a fairly common twist.

Wario Land 3 :musicbox: did it first. :STongue3:
And Wario Land 4 :SpoiledRotten: did the masked ugly woman thing first.
