Well, nice to see some people wanted a Wario Land sequel...

Kotaku asked their readers what games they'd like Miyamoto and Nintendo to make for the Wii U. And while Wario Land didn't win out, hey, we got some support since there were:

26+ votes for a new Wario Land.

It's not a massive number, but 26 people (some of which likely won't be on this site) wanting a new Wario Land title for the Wii U and considering it their number one 'priority'? That's pretty nice to hear!

Does the Wii U need more platformers? I always saw Wario as handheld type of game, because that's where most of the core Wario games were. Mario had the console games covered, while Wario would have the handhelds. It was an interesting dynamic.

But in all honesty, I don't want a Wario platformer anytime soon. I know it sounds blasphemous, but I'm completely fine with the games that we do have. It's why I like Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Wario a lot more than Zelda and Mario. The former three don't have sequels pumped out nearly as much as the latter two. Sometimes, less really is more.

Thank you. I completely agree. Even though Mario, Zelda and Kirby games are great, I never have time to beat them because every 5 seconds, Nintendo is throwing out another sequel.

...Although I really do want to be playing play Wario Land 5/3D eventually.
