what are 3 album covers you'd put on your wall?

Baker Man

Will November bring anybody back?
I'd have to say nightmare by a7x, metallica's self-titled album, or the eminem show by, well, eminem

my favorite album by some of the GOATs, 2 of metal, 1 of rap, plus, they look awesome.

Ah this is a fun topic let's see I think I'll go with...

Cover art for the singles release for Yellow Magic Orchestra's 1980 single Rydeen.

Kraftwerk's 1981 album Computer World
1691865138699.png

Aphex Twin's 1992 Selected Ambient Works 85-92

Went with a combination of some of my favorite music while trying to find art that really contrasts.

Just three? Album covers are my greatest inspiration so I am going to say five of them
Some of these I chose very much because of the literal album cover, not to say I don't like the albums I just like their art significantly more.
Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest

I've always loved this album cover's composition. I love how busy it is, and how there's so much to keep looking at. I also love the clock border with the hands turned to midnight probably in reference to the song. I really like most of ATCQ's album covers, and the cover of People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm was actually a big inspiration to me when I was really young, one of my very first favorite album covers and would later go on to be one of my favorite albums by my favorite group.
In The Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson
1691887918088.jpeg

I hate to say it but this album took a minute to grow on me musically. That said, just look at it. Speaks for itself.
I also like the cover of Electriclarryland by the Butthole Surfers for similar reasons. Something about up close head features in weird situations, that I really like for some reason.

Give a Monkey a Brain and He'll Swear He's the Center of the Universe by Fishbone
1691888031116.jpeg

This album is exciting, detailed, and all over the place while still being well kept together and so is the cover. I also think the art is beautiful in it's flashy and subtle elements, it balances itself in countless little ways. I wish I had the patience to make something like this.
The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
1691888133966.jpeg

I like this album. It's the steely dan guy's solo debut and it sure as hell sounds like it. that's a good thing, but i don't listen to it a ton. i come back to it a couple times a year. that said this cover is SO fun to draw. unrelated to wario, I drew a version of it with bender futurama most recently

I adore the cover's composition, how each piece compliments the other further strengthening the over all atmosphere. The not-too-bright-not-too-dark blue font really adds to the late night theme as well. I think about this cover more than I think about the album itself, though the album certainly is good in my opinion.
Hello Nasty by the Beastie Boys
1691888335807.jpeg

This album is a default setting in my brain. Genuinely, whenever I'm bored I doodle 3 characters in a tin can. This is *the* scenario for me. Why? I don't know. Who does know? Sorry for doing that. Anyway, the Beastie Boys are tied with ATCQ as my favorite group so of course I'm inclined to like this cover even more. This isn't my favorite album by them though. I'm boring so it's Paul's Boutique. Speaking of, I also want that one on my wall, probably even more now that I think about it.

the album's alright, I like some of it. that said, what is UP with this cover? it's funky and very orange so I like it.
Breakfast in America by Supertramp
1691888647566.jpeg

I tried to draw this on myself upsidedown in my dorm last year. It didn't go well. Anyway, I like how it really looks like morning. I can practically feel the air. Ugh, and the buildings modeled after kitchen wear etc. The colors all contrast so nicely too. This just takes me to a whole different place i dont know why.

Okay sorry one more
The Cars The Cars

this brings back a lot of memories for me and so in theory I would want it on my wall

Okay that's all thank you for asking this question :orbulon:

but a couple more, blurryface by 21 pilots, californication by rhcp, follow the leader by korn, and audioslave's self titled album

and while I said 3, I don't care, I'm listing 3 more, either hybrid theory or meteora by linkin park, from under the cork tree by fob, and currents by tame impala

I chose these 7/8 because I just think the covers are cool, but I do like the songs in them too, stressed out, scar tissue, like a stone, in the end, breaking the habit, dance dance, and the less i know the better

Ah, a revival, I honestly forgot this thread, but now I'd also have to say Ride the Lightning (Metallica), Rust in Peace (Megadeth), and The Resistance (Muse)
