Where did the giant snake come from?

In Wario's Castle in Wario Land II? Because @wariolandgoldpiramid brought it up in a status, and as Robin said, it needs a thread too.

So yeah, where did it come from?

Was it just some random bit of wildlife that snuck in years ago and grew large eating whatever ended up in Wario's basement?

Was it planted by Captain Syrup and the Black Sugar Pirates to attack Wario?

Or was there some other explanation I'm not thinking of?

Well, here's a little info from the official US website:

It's been a while since Wario has cleaned his basement, so he shouldn't be surprised to find a giant snake whose bite is definitely worse than its ssssss.

Can't find any info about it in the japanese website or instructions manual thought...
