According to an old revision on The Cutting Room Floor Wiki, a vaguely Mario esque song was originally present on the official site for Wario Land: Shake It under the name 'Plumber's Cave':
I posted this song on my channel here, after seeing it on the wiki:
(it's also here: Wario Land - Wario Land: Shake It Plumber's Cave)
However, as someone found on Twitter, the song was never actually on the official site at all. And Tomoya Tomita himself doesn't remember ever composing it:

So, where did it actually come from? According to the file history it was posted by someone called Peardian, who I know for their custom sprites and models of Nintendo characters, but I don't recall them ever being a musician or hoaxer. So, it feels unlikely they'd have made it.
Who actually made this mysterious track?

i looked into this recently and tried checking out the archived wario land shake it website on wayback machine there is indeed a "prelaunch" page, but it doesn't have the unused song, nor a group of OST samples. the closest thing is the mt. lava lava theme playing in this screen

@SB2749 I know absolutely nothing about this. It's not a song I wrote. I'm shocked that someone would spread such a lie.
