Why do you hate DLCs in videogames? If DLCs don't exist, companies would sell the same game again but with more playable characters at the price of a new game. I hope the topic about Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV and Ultra Street Fighter IV doesn't happen again, that Capcom sold again the same videogame but with more content, making the previous prequel useless.
DLCs are important because they allow more content to be added to a finished video game and because they allow the cost of the total content of the video game to be reduced to pay for and buy the rest of the content with DLCs (which is what should happen, in case it doesn't).
