Why isn't that Intelligent Systems Mobile Title a WarioWare Game?

You've all seen the news. Nintendo and Intelligent Systems announced Pictonico for mobile, and it's basically WarioWare: Snapped 2.0:

But that made me wonder... why isn't this just a WarioWare game? Wouldn't the WarioWare 'brand' be perfect for this?

Honestly, I have a few theories.

One is that they want to work on other Wario related projects, and don't want to flood the market with unrelated Wario games. Perhaps that new Wario Land is being announced soon, or a new WarioWare title is in development for Switch 2 (both ideas have been rumoured).

The other is that Nintendo wants to just avoid their IPs being on mobile now. Possibly to avoid diluting them and taking attention away from their Switch/Switch 2 games.

But what do you think?

WarioWare is a tricky property to translate mobile precisely because it actually is well-suited to the platform. Nintendo's angle with their mobile games is to promote their brand to people that aren't already in their hardware ecosystem, and hopefully get them to buy in. If their plan is to still make WarioWare games for their own hardware, they wouldn't want to release something that'd invoke a "Why would I buy a Warioware game on your console when there's a perfectly fine WarioWare game i can play on my phone?" kind of response.
