Will this finally be Mario & Wario's chance to get an international release?

Waluigi

Wahahaha!!!
Since the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to have mouse functionality built into its Joy-Cons, it seems like now would be the perfect time to bring back one of the most unfairly neglected Nintendo games of all time. Mario & Wario, despite being 100% in English already...was never released outside of Japan. Of course, it was still possible to play the game on a US Super Nintendo if you modified slightly it by cutting out a couple plastic tabs in the slot, which is how I played it. But how cool would it be if this game finally got a proper worldwide release on NSO now that the Switch 2 has a built in mouse? Seems like a no-brainer.

Yeah, I guess this would be the perfect time to realease it. I also hope they release Mario Paint too ! I've never played it but I only heard good things from it.

Yeah I'd say Mario Paint is 100% guaranteed, that's like the default SNES mouse game.

Actually I just looked it up and I'm surprised to see that quite a few games supported the SNES mouse. For some reason I thought there were barely any.

Not sure how many of these are any good though...but maybe there's a couple others that are worth bringing to NSO along with Mario & Wario and Mario Paint:

Hopefully. 3DS also seemed like a good time to bring Virtual Boy games like VB: Wario Land, but they didn't do that or WarioWare: Twisted on NSO with joycons.

Yeah that's a good point about VB Wario Land, huge missed opportunity. Though on the other hand I don't think Nintendo is ashamed of the SNES mouse like they were of the VB, it just sorta got forgotten.

And technically NSO isn't anywhere close to being finished yet so WarioWare: Twisted could still have a chance.
