Whether Wario Land based, WarioWare based or a mixture of the two?

And if so, how would you rather it work? Would you want it to be Mario & Luigi based, with Wario and Waluigi as the main characters and two character mechanics? Would you want a more Paper Mario style experience, perhaps with a unique art style?

Or would you want something different altogether?

What do you think?

That concept where Alphadream allegedly proposed a Wario RPG featuring Peach (why not Mona?) as the other character in the formula comes to mind. I'm sure there's plenty of untapped methods Intelligent Systems (most likely) could work the actual WarioWare microgames and cast into a deeper dive into Diamond City.

That would be cool indeed. I mean Wario Land 3 is all about exploration so why not take it a step further. I'd imagine something like Wario trying to find a treasure and Mona accompanying him as a support/guide character. You could also have the Crygors making gadgets for him, Captain Syrup being the rival type character that always come back to fight Wario and more. I wouldn't want it to have every WarioWare character as that'd be too much I think.

For the gameplay, I'd say make something a bit different. You can still dodge and land attacks with well timed controller maneuvering but this time, make it a bit more dynamic since it's Wario he doesn't play by the rules. You'd be able to all your dodge moves (jumping, charging and whatnot) while you are being attacked but it's up to you to react accordingly and chose the right move unlike in M&L where they force you to use your hammer or jump when need be and you just need to time it right. I don't think of putting a partner system like in Paper Mario as Wario doesn't really work in teams. He either lets the team work for him or do it all himself!
