I think he's an okay character. But at the same time: he is pointless. I mean... He hasn't appeared anywhere else than the sports spinoffs. Even Toadette made at least Cameos and such in specific Mario Titles. [another reason I like her.]

And seeing how they initialized "Wa-Peach"... Why not Syrup? I still think Waluigi could have potential though... I mean: Why not have him appear in a Wario Ware or Wario Land title? Or better yet: Co-op with him in a Wario World sequel? That'd be cool.

Are we seriously pitting up Daisy and Waluigi together? Why not both?

I agree completely. In terms of his creation, he has absolutely no reason to exist. At all. As Treasure Trove has thoroughly explained, everything that made Waluigi's creation necessary and/or worthwhile is also applicable to Syrup, and she has many other advantages, such as being an established character with a complex relationship with Wario, making for a potentially interesting dynamic that we've only really seen further explored in Shake It.

That said, considering the fact that he does irreversibly exist, I like him as a character. He's a wacky character with many fantastic animations, and his personality is actually pretty interesting, namely that (if I correctly remember what Charles Martinet said he thought of Waluigi) he's actually only really the way he is because nobody but Wario will accept him, and he feels lonely and bitter. He's mischievous, clever, and egotistical. I think there's a lot of untapped potential in there, but we don't get to see much of it because he's only really in spinoffs, so we only really see his personality shine through in some animations and short voice clips. If nothing else, I think he at least deserves to be in a WarioWare game. His wacky personality and mannerisms would fit right in, and it would allow us to see more of his character.

Waluigi is like the character that appears for no reason, y'know the famous catchphrase:
Waluigi appears nonethless.

But if Waluigi had his name changed for the western audience, which one would be?

I honestly don't think a name change would really do much for him. He's supposed to be a combination of Wario and Luigi, so having a name that's a combination of theirs still makes sense to western audiences. It just seems less clever than the Japanese portmanteau of warui and Luigi. Changing the name would sort of deviate from his purpose; he's designed to be an evil Luigi, so his name reflects that.

Great priorities right there.

You're going to patronise a person based on age? Given the usual standards of this forum, I don't see how BeepBoopWAH's reasoning is any worse than others here.

13 year olds don't have very good perspective on many things. A person my age and a 13 year old's brain doesn't function the same and we see things differently. The discussion is a bit moot, to be honest.

Let me guess, you like blue space waifu Peach or loli moe edgy gurl?

My point is that this particular 13 year old's argument is no less valid than other people here. To be honest I'm interested to hear why you think Waluigi is more valid than Daisy considering she's actually been in a proper game. Waluigi's spent fifteen years recieving indifference and praise for no reason.

I'm not a fan of either of those characters, no.

If I try to argue with him I will get nothing out of the discussion. We're not on the same level and frankly, it would feel like I would be wasting my time. I was this age before and I never understood why older teenagers/adults hated discussing things with me on a serious level until now.

I didn't say more valid. I said good. Whether he's invalid or not doesn't affect my liking for him. I think he's funny, weird, and delightfully eccentric. Now there's all there is to it.

What did me liking Rosalina or Ashley have to do with anything, by the way? If your assumption had been correct, that is.
