I mean that's a fair point. Minor textures for things in games are often just whatever they had lying around. Or easter eggs, like with Twilight Princess HD.

Hard to say. Bowser is Mario's archenemy, and Wario is also in a similar position. I'd say Wario is more of a rival than a villain though. Not evil, more selfish.

Yeah I definitely want people to be able to submit and track submissions without the use of Discord or another third party service. Just hope a decent number of players use it. Maybe a classic hacks section for Wario Land 1, 2 and 3 could be added too.

Would he be based on his Wario Land incarnation first and foremost with a less gimmicky moveset? What sort of stages, items and content would represent his games? What do you think?

Uh, hard to tell, since I have too many favourites. 9-Volt, Mona, Jimmy T, Ashley... Maybe I'll go with the Volts though, since I love the retro themed microgames they have in the series
