Why is Mona in love with Wario?

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
I mean, he's awesome (and pretty rich), but... they'd not exactly in the same age group, or even remotely similar in terms of personality...

any reasons?

I read something on a manual for a WarioWare game (either the first or Mega Party Game$. Or maybe it was in her profile page for the latter?) that she likes "wild" guys, but I'm pretty sure the truth is that it's because he's rich. And/or the developers thought it would be amusing for Wario to have a love interest (and indeed it is).

He's got huge muscles, an awesome moustache, killer eyebrows, a perfect smile (or grin :p) he's determined, he's got a sense of humor,...
What's not to love about him? ^^

And about the age thing:
For one, we don't know how old Wario is. For all we know he could be in his twenties. He never looked that old to me.
And for two, I dunno about you but in the first WarioWare Mona always looked very mature to me and not at all like the highschool student she's supposed to be now. Maybe it's the earrings, dunno.

I think they could make a funny and cute pair actually. With Wario liking her but not wanting to admit it since it doesn't fit his "style".

It's because he has a personality that exudes confidence and ambition, both of which are key to impressing women. They're also the key to becoming monetarily successful, which also helps with impressing women.

And as for his wild mannerisms and poor hygiene, many women would take that as a challenge to "tame" him, so long as the confidence, ambition, and money are there to draw them in.

Yet Waluigi has a shnozz that rivals if not surpasses that of Wario, and yet somehow no women ever fall in love with poor Waluigi. The difference is of course that Waluigi lacks the confidence, ambition, and money necessary to make women even bother to take a look at his glorious nose.

He is also quite classy:

The guy deserves all the womanz in the world!

Waluigi talks big but he comes across as a poser. Waluigi doesn't realize that the key to getting others to believe in him is that he first needs to believe in himself.

I think his biggest problem is that he blames everyone else but himself for all his problems. "You cheater!"

He doesn't want to face the issues in his life like Wario does. Wario will grab the bull by the horns, Waluigi will make up an excuse: "Wah? My shoes are untied, so I can't do it!"

I know Mona isn't guilty of this (as she's confident as well) but I'm happy that WarioWare doesn't have girls who request confidence and ambition from guys, but have zero of it to give in return. Whoever had the idea that weakass girls are attractive is thankfully not tainting the WarioWare characters.

Mona's personality changed through the series, she was a badass sexy girl, and now she's more cute and anime-like.
In WarioWare, Inc. for GBA and GC, her profile states that she like bad guys with bikes, fitting Wario's definition perfectly at the time. But ever since, it seems like they toned down both their personalities.

As long as they don't drop her feelings for Wario...
Come to think of it... when was the last time she directly interacted with Wario? In the first game she approached Wario about their paychecks and was the only one chasing him down at the end and in the manual it said she was smitten with him. Is there anything like that in the latest games? I haven't played Game & Wario. Maybe there's some piece of hidden text in one of the souvenirs or something? I don't want that ship to sink! D:

In Game & Wario, the characters kind of interact if you read the gossip stuff from Mona, you can get some references to the other characters, but I don't remember anything about Wario, really...

Man, I wish the characters would interact more in general. Orbulon was in Ashley's story in Touched and Mona and 9-Volt were visiting Dr. Crygor in the intro of Twisted but I wish they really did... more than that. Especially with Wario. All the characters are supposed to be Wario's friends, right? Then why don't we ever see them interact? The way friends do.
Like.... I wish there was a game that showed how Wario met all of his freinds and made each encounter into its own little story.
