Thoughts on the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Trailer?

Personally I'm not sure how much of it will fit into the same story as last time around, but it does have a ton of interesting stuff nonetheless. Like Baby Mario and Luigi, the T. Rex from Odyssey, and even Mouser and Clawgrip from Super Mario Bros 2.

But yeah, what do you think?

Eh... It exists I suppose. I just hope Birdo isn't a main character. I've always disliked her.

I just watched the newest trailer. It looks like a step-up from the previous film, but I still don't think it'll be anything amazing. I'll most likely end up going to the cinemas to see it with my friend.

I doubt Birdo will be a main character. Feels like each area has a character that appears for a few minutes or so, then they move on.

Of course, I could be wrong and they ship her with Birdo or something.

Eh, it works for what it's aiming for (Mario fan service without much in the way of a deep or interesting plot)

Huh, didn't expect them to add a bunch of Mario 2 stuff; Birdo is understandable but I wonder how they're gonna work those other bosses in... answer: they aren't because this is a silly fanservice movie. Still kind of cool to see Mouser acknowledgement in the big 26 at least.
Though I can now confidentally say Wario is not going to have a role in this film. Between World and Galaxy and now Bros. 2, there's just too much they're focusing on to introduce him as well. But mark my words: a familiar yellow cap will definitely crop up in the post credits scene...

I hope you're right, I would imagine a little bit of Wario here and there, but for him to have a big enough role to be post credits worthy? He'd have more spotlight than the rest of the side characters and that would be hype as hell

I could definitely see Wario being a post credits thing. Honestly, I'd probably prefer it, given how packed the film looks to be without Wario being in it.

But I'm curious what other characters could appear here. Are other Super Mario Galaxy bosses in? Could Wart make an appearance? Could they go crazy and add other space characters like Tatanga or the Shroobs?

You know what I think maybe he could make the post credits after all, before I was thinking about how Wario's been less relevant recently compared to how gigantic the Mario franchise is, so I thought maybe they'd sprinkle in a little bit of Wario and Waluigi mayhem for comic relief but nothing too major and that'd be about it. If that happened I'd still be content with it since they make a good duo and lots of their shenanigans in the sports games are funny anyways

But then I thought, if they didn't use Wario/Waluigi, then it'd be in favor of who? Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad, DK, Yoshi, Birdo, Bowser Jr., Rosalina are all in. Daisy? Toadette? Paper Mario for no reason? So I think the odds are looking pretty good for Wario/Waluigi/Maybe even Syrup in a potential 3rd film

With the trailer references I was thinking they'd focus on referencing Galaxy and Yoshi games, but they ended up referencing SMB2 and Odyssey, but I completely understand why, Birdo pairs with Yoshi so it makes sense to throw in a few references to the game they debutted in, and the dinosaur from Odyssey was a pretty memorable thing so Yoshi meeting a real dino is a good oppurtunity to put it in (Also I never played Yoshi's Safari but I know they were thinking about it when I saw what looked like a variant of a super scope)
