For the most part yeah. Look at the 'simulators' on Steam, we've got them for the most ridiculous things known to man.
Of course, whether they're good games depends heavily on the original...
Where said emulators shut down after legal trouble with Nintendo?
Personally I feel it's ridiculous (and they'd had a decent shot of winning a court case), but I guess their lawyers must have thought otherwise given the early settlement.
If Luigi's Mansion 2 and 3 are anything to go by, a new Wario World game could be the start of something amazing. Imagine it becomes a full sequel with the insane quality and visual fidelity of the later Luigi's Mansion titles!
I mean, the activity of this place feels more like a reflection of the state of internet forums right now than the Wario community in particular.

Are you the kind of person who gets up at dawn and goes to bed fairly early? Someone who does the same few things in the same few order every day?
Or do you vary it up more?
Personally my schedule tends to depend on the day. On weekdays it's usually up at 8am, work until about 5pm and play...
Hmm actually it seems I was wrong. Wario Land 3 got disassembled too:

But no games other than that and the first one.
Just curious, since I can't remember a project like this, nor find any proof online that it's happened.
Wario Land 1 did get one, which is cool:

But nothing for 4, or any of the other games for that matter.
